In this day and age, surely someone can put this into a website and play the melody?
That's exactly what they're arguing here. However the US is trying to use a non-answer to avoid this, and in the past that's worked.
Yeah man, loads of good people died in 2016, it was a whole thing.
are we seriously operating under the assumption that the United States government would execute him?
Legally, UK and EU courts must consider this, because sending someone to a country where they will be executed for their crimes is a breach of human rights.
By the strict reading of the law, he could be extradited for life in prison. If he was being extradited to be sentenced to death, that would be a no go.
The US are skirting and pushing the bounds of UK law here. Unfortunately, they will likely get away with it, because the English are pussies.
Nothing Trump says is supported by data.
Why did you have to say that?! RIP Robin Williams :(
i.e. if you hate trump, vote Biden, even if you don't love Biden
I didn't say that wasn't my position. That's what people should do, because the alternative is worse.
However, if you're not going to vote at all, that is worse than both of those but also worse than voting for a 3rd party candidate.
Thanks, however I reloaded after posting my comment and saw someone else posted the real article. The main thing I wanted to find out was if it was a federal judge, which it was.
Fair point, I meant to change that before I posted. I think I was getting confused with Trump and the prostitutes that peed on him.
If we have a majority of states blocking Trump from the ballot, would that be enough to overthrow a Supreme Court stay until they actually get off their asses and do some real work?
Edit:
Judge Tracie Porter of the State Circuit Court in Cook County sided with Illinois voters who asserted that Trump—the 2024 GOP front-runner—must be disqualified from Illinois' March 19 primary and November 5 general election ballots
Lol they're going to have to act fairly quickly on this one.
Porter, a Democrat, placed a stay on her ruling if Trump appeals by Thursday, or if the U.S. Supreme Court issues a highly anticipated ruling in a Colorado case involving a 14th Amendment challenge.
And if I'm not mistaken, this ruling basically says put up or shut up to the Supreme Court.
If anyone here hasn't checked out Detectorists, written by and starring Mackenzie Crook (bottom right in the meme) as well as Toby Jones (who played Alan Bates in Mr Bates vs. The Post Office), you really, really, really should. Best ever feel good TV.
Depends on the phone, with most it isn't easy to remove the battery.
