Yeah, sure. But if Trump pardons an offense in a Republican state, criminal or civil, which way do you think the state would swing?

True, but I'm confident that alone won't stop Trump, certainly not his attempts anyway.

We have to remember this is someone who does not play by the rules. He relies on everyone else doing so.

Yes exactly. What I'm saying is that the Israeli state needs to be disbanded, the Palestinian state needs to be disbanded, and a neutral state needs to be set up in their place that only cautiously allows their citizen's return.

That would be the ideal solution, but actually making that happen is prohibitively complex.

Yeah I know, however when you reply to someone from a notification you just want to reply.

Also, when you move up the context on a Lemmy thread you see each comment and all its other comments. If the comment chain you're replying on isn't the top thread, then you get cluttered up with all the others. On reddit, context meant you only saw the comments that directly lead to the comment you were deriving context from. Furthermore, context was derived from the comment URL with a ?context=3 suffix, so you could easily specify how far up the chain you wanted to go.

Lemmy does context differently, but I prefer reddit's method.

Assuming he doesn't get back in in 2024 (or 2028) and exonerate himself from his own crimes.

uBlock Origin is essential. Firefox (or a hardened fork) with uBlock Origin is the bare minimum protection, IMO. Definitely don't use Chrome or any derivative (which is basically all of them these days, eg Microsoft Edge, Brave).

uMatrix is deprecated and breaks websites by default. I love it, but it's not for everyone. I don't use it on all my devices, though.

Yes but these parents wouldn't have got the measles vaccine either way. We're talking about the increase in risk caused by the person selling fake vaccines, to people who knew they were fakes.

If they didn't get the fake vaccine at all, they still probably wouldn't have got a vaccine. Their kid might not have gone to school, so that would be a slightly lower risk, but they would still be unvaccinated and if they did catch it their illness would have been just as severe.

Yeah the problem with the idea is how to make it work - especially when both groups hold religious significance to the area.

I think maybe some kind of relocation, but with passports that grant them permission to travel to the religious city of Jerusalem. The region itself must be carefully managed as a tourist destination for all nationalities and religions. Then over time people may be allowed to settle back there.
