I disliked my last android falling out of date after barely 2 years and consuming batteries like they're AA's (LG G4)
So I figured I'd try one of these iphones based on the reputation of long software support.
Got an Xr shortly after its launch with the goal of lasting 4 years to justify the extra cost.
Been using for 5 years and counting. I've been satisfied with the ecosystem and have added a watch, tablet, and use their TV box now.
