It's not a windows issue, BF6 has a some requirements for their anti cheat including secure boot and TPM

[–] Sylvartas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 2 hours ago (4 children)

Fuck, I'm gonna have to enable secure boot (and use windows) to play the BF6 open beta, am I gonna get the same buillshit ?

If it doesn't affect my Linux drives I don't care much tbh, I'll probably just nuke windows and reinstall it

Never felt the need for them and I've done some long-ass hikes in the sun too. Then again I drink a metric fuckton of water during these hikes

Yeah that's a common justification it seems. Elite: dangerous also has the same one. When your canopy gets blown off it actually stops the sounds too (and there's a giant hole in your HUD because it's also responsible for that)

Have you ever noticed Ron Pearlman looks just like Hellboy too ?

Disclaimer for OP : IIRC it also takes quite a long time to test large amounts of RAM

[–] Sylvartas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 5 days ago

Not sure whether that was intended by the comment in that screenshot but it's a great detail either way

Eh, there are plenty of FOSS software that implement it just fine, but I know for a fact that the default image viewers of some major distros don't

Us nerds aren't in total control of the internet anymore, and the vast majority of non nerds value having as little friction as possible in their usage of the internet over not letting corpo fucks hold too much power

Oh yeah that makes sense then. The semi-wild cows of Corsica (they are domesticated and actively exploited for milk/meat but don't have dedicated pastures, they are left to roam and graze wherever they want) are also an absolute menace on the roads

Unfortunately the normies have replaced us, and there's a lot more of them, so I'm not surprised they're seeing higher number overall, even if the average normie probably doesn't use Reddit nearly as much as we did

Are they domesticated, or is there some other reason they're not afraid of humans ? Because we have tons of actual deers here (France) that you can easily see hanging out near roads at dawn or at dusk, but they're definitely afraid of humans and cars

83 years ago today, seven brave Czechoslovakian resistance fighters died after successfully assassinating the man who was one of the principal architects of the Holocaust.

Been a while since I listened to this. I'm a sucker for some good electric organ beats so I really like this remix

Figured we needed some drum and bass in here

This looks so sick, I had to share it

I was driving and found myself craving some caffeinated soda. Since coca and Dr pepper are now off limits I just downed an espresso and got a (European) ice tea, but I'm wondering if there are actual alternatives
