i do the same but my "visualization" is very very strange, i don't see things as much as i feel them and just know stuff like colour and texture and whatnot, and it's fairly low fidelity most of the time (like a low res image scaled up so it's blurry but still recognizable), but at the same time it.. feels like i see things in my mind?

I think the best way i can explain it is like if you could feel colours when touching them, and i'm running my hands over a relief print of things. It's not vision but it's also basically the same.

to all of you who worry about this stuff: do you drive? do you walk or live next to roads? do you make sure there's a low concentration of CO2 in any room you're in?

If not, those things are way more worrisome than any sweetener unless you chug 50 liters of soda per day.

The thing about us nordics is that we're actually car-centric, our infrastructure makes driving comfortable and convenient by keeping the people who actively don't want to drive off the roads, and we actually use logic to design the roads.

For example you'll note that the vast majority of roads here only have one lane in each direction, with more lanes added only at junctions. Because adding lanes in the middle of a road barely ever helps, the junctions are where you need to do fancy stuff because they're the bottleneck in the system. Hence why we also really really like roundabouts.

The US isn't car-centric, it's just outright incorrectly designed and if anything makes driving as miserable as it can possibly be, for most people. Sitting trapped in your car in bumper-to-bumper traffic is barely a thing up here.

Also, 10km at e-bike speed (25 km/h) is not even half an hour, and if there aren't tons of cars on the roads then you don't need bike infrastructure beyond covered parking, so what's the problem with biking that distance?

the key word here is "some", having a couple friends who you know struggle with it isn't the same thing as being surrounded by people who never initiate contact.
You can't expect someone to prop up most of their relationships, that's a nutso amount of effort.

roads designed for cars are massively larger than roads that aren't made for cars, a standard modern car-centric road would be a pretty major and significant thing for most of human history.

A single standard car lane is a generously wide bike path.

eeeh, i don't think this is a particularly noticable benefit.
The amount of noise given off by cars at those speeds is just an annoyance, the real problem is the tyre noise at high speeds and that's only made worse by electric cars.
They recently lowered the speed on a through-road near me from 70km/h to 60km/h and it made a pretty huge difference in how tolerable it is to be anywhere near the road, the difference between a combustion and an electric car driving on a residential street is so much smaller that it's not even funny.
