And this is part of why I don't listen to the radio while I drive. The other part is because I bought a cheap android stereo and I couldn't be fucked to buy the adapter to hook my antenna up to the stereo.
I guess being lazy is saving me from early morning drive radio jump-scares.

So, an update!

It's got a smidge of charm..........buuuuuut a shit tonne of janky.

Pros:

  • Linux Native build
  • controls are weird, but so far everything the list says it does, does
  • clearly some thought was put into some of it

Cons:

  • the Linux build runs like shit 🤣
  • you start in what I discovered was a room(screen shots below) and a quest marker, but no instructions/tutorial
  • janky AF

I spawned in, as shown in the first shot. All that was visible was a U shaped wobbly tube.

After looking around a bit I figured that nothing had quite populated yet, there was the doorway, and some disembodied....disemwalled(?) grime floating.

Eventually the room appeared, and as I started to explore the spawn area I began getting achievements. Nothing.....insane...but a fair few.

Tldr: Charm was sparse in the 15 mins I played, jank was in abundance. Like it couldn't decide if it was a brilliant sunny day or a grim pissing of rain night, just switched back and forth every minute or so.

I thought that too, for like 20 years. Then I started going back to therapy, now I'm actually on the whole happy to BE at work. Never really realised how much I just needed to have someone I paid to at least pretend to listen. He says I pay him to be on the call, he listens because he wants to.

I have really close friends who always say/said if I needed to talk just shout them. I would occasionally talk surface level shit, I didn't want to burden them with all the shit roiling around in my head. And weirdly after I started seeing my therapist, I started talking to them more about shit that was tearing me up.

Worked for me, maybe not for everyone, no size fits etc etc etc.

TBF, I absolutely should have used them, but I was cooking for 25 people, and honestly totally forgot about them. I was rushing about with the BBQ, into the kitchen switching out cooked pizza for uncooked and trying to catch a sip of beer in between all that.... As a result the salmon came out amazing, slow smoked at 60° for 3 hours because I totally forgot about it until the wife would occasionally say: the smoker's not smoking!

Nah, the brain damage is a prerequisite. It does get worse though.

I've got a Bluetooth temp probe set. They work a treat. And I totally forgot to even use them when I got smoked a salmon and chicken wings for Canada Day.

The people who think that have no desire for understanding. What they want is an "Other" to push everything wrong with their society onto.

What's your favourite dinosaur 🦖🦕?

One of those movies where they put basically all of the good bits in the trailers. It felt like they were really stretching with it. Like they wanted to have it be the same universe, but it was all kinda surface level. Idk. 🤷

I'd give 28 Years a pass. Mega disappointing. There were a few good bits, but saying it was one of the best horror films of the year so far is.... shameful.

Ah, sorry, it was discontinued 12 years ago, but I kept one sack festering in the basement for just such an occasion as this.
