"where's MY mummy bang maid!? How come all those CHADS get mummy bang maids, and I DON'T!?

why am I so lonely?"

[–] StudChud@aussie.zone 4 points 7 hours ago

Hard agree. I used to like it, but I just couldn't really get over the voice acting lol

Flatliners is a classic! I love that film.

A compelling idea pulled off extremely well; unlike Martyrs lol!!

I think it could have been done better, and made the Martyr theme more prominent. Instead it was "watch a woman who is traumatised, go through more trauma and body horror".

Actual martyrs died for a cause or a religious reason. She didn't have a long held personal belief that would warrant such treatment, it was just a fucked up cult doing it to her for a stupid reason.

I'm glad that dumb cult didn't get the answers they wanted.

Oh I've seen Martyrs (the original and the remake), and yeah I agree with you. It felt like the theme was "trauma can make you transcend and see beyond!" Which is fkn gross.

The only barely redeemable quality of that film was the end, where we don't hear what she said to Madame, and it was cryptic. I wanted more of that feeling, not the gratuitous torture the MC endures at the hands of some weird rich people cult.

I feel similar about A Serbian Film. That has no redeemable qualities at all, as well, and I do not believe the creators intent that the film was a comment on the Serbian film industry. It was fkn gross for the sake of being gross, and they should just fkn own that instead of making up reasons as to why it's a "commentary".

You know what? I'm here for your hate on BiP and The Wiggles. I didn't expect either of them to be a response to my question, but I love it!

I hate the movie Rubber (2010). I saw it years ago because I thought "oh a horror comedy about a murderous tyre, yeah sure!" And it turned out to be the most boring, pretentious slop I've ever seen; I should have known as it is a French film, but sometimes the French have good horror so I gave it a chance - MISTAKE! I watched it all the way through and just couldn't stop loathing it. I made the mistake of telling my mate at the time, so when I went to see him, guess what he had on πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ so I've seen it twice and it sucked arse both times.

What's a film or piece of media that gets you irrationally angry?

Aw naur, I just had a 4 hour nap.

I'll blame the cat; he sat on me and fell asleep, so I did too πŸ˜‚

It takes time and practice!! I find the combat fun, but I suck at roleplaying lol! My fav character I made was a Kenku Sorcerer because I could just mimic the other players words πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Keep doing one shots and find a supportive group! A supportive and nice group makes it so much easier to engage! I'm so excited for you!!!

A-fkn-men to that!

I've been on a lil extreme horror analysis binge on YT (love it when they're 1-5 hours long). Doesn't matter if I haven't seen the movie or read the books they're talking about, it's a good way to determine whether I'd watch/read it myself.

I've also found a couple of creators who are AFAB/women, which I love. Mertkaykay (movies and games) and Earlybird (mostly old ps1/pc games) are two examples I'd recommend.

Edit: my own suggestions (both books) for body horror/extreme horror are:

  • Demon Shield by Bruce King (haunted church grounds turned up to 1000, I don't even know how to describe what takes place in that book). ?/10.
  • The Necroscope series by Brian Lumley. Vampires are alien parasites, mix in some weird sexual stuff, the KGB, the vampire home planet, and a protag who can talk to ghosts. 10/10.

Same. I prefer the lady agent who usually does the inspections - she has pets as well, and dresses rather casually for an agent, she's very down to earth and easy to approach.

This guy looked the stereotypical private schoolboy fresh out of year 12, still has broccoli hair. Teenager in me was like "this guy is a bully" πŸ˜‚ he wasn't, just hard to trust guys who look like that I think! He was pleasant! But I still prefer the lady agent for sure.

Every Friday in the month of July, the European Night Market it being held in Madame Brussels Lane (50 Lonsdale St Melbourne). The last one is on Friday 28th of July. The event is free, but you'd need to buy the food/drink from the stalls.

https://whatson.melbourne.vic.gov.au/things-to-do/european-night-market

I definitely reccomend going, there are plenty of seats, stalls, food, and drink to consume. There are some people dressed up in winter-themed costumes and a couple of entertainers as well.

Here are some photos I took of last night, not many, but a few :)

(I blurred out the faces of people in this one, because they weren't stall owners)
