What if your app actually needs access to the internet?
Strit
Sure. I was just mentioning the defaults.
Maybe you are missing dolphin-plugins
which provides some extra plugins and features for Dolphin.
In KDE plasma, to show hidden files in Dolphin, press ALT+Period. To open Krunner no matter where you are, press ALT+Space.
The couple of apps I use through flatpak has not had any issues as far as I can tell. Other than maybe being a little slow to get pushed to the newest version.
Maybe stock Ubuntu?
It's pretty new. Has wayland and pipewire. You can just enable a checkmark in the installer to install codecs. Uses Gnome, so a non-Windows like workflow. Pretty sure Eduroam would work there, as many schools use Ubuntu by default.
For my blog I use Ghost. It's pretty simple to set up, but it does require a database (like most blogging software does). So it might not be what you are looking for.
The problem, as I read it, is that it's only 1 player feeling this way. The rest of the table seems to enjoy themselves. Or, that's my take on it, since they don't really get mentioned.
Yeah, if you can come up with a consequence that does not involve the death of the PCs that would be a nice variation. Maybe they get banished to another world. Maybe the bad guy makes them jump through time.
For me it's a question of balance.
Most smaller encounters are easy for my PCs, but major encounters should be tough, have a risk of PCs dying and also have the rewards be epic.
This is all just my opinion though, but seems my group likes it.
"How do you get on the other side of the paywall?" "You use a ladder..."
I'll show myself out.
