They probably don't want to be next to leak age verification details. Just removing responsibility.

Slowly? I think our definitions of slowly may differ
Clean as you go... i should follow what I preach... but its hard
What people fail to realise is that these laws affect very few users in the world... So why is it there for the rest of us?
No requirement today, what about tomorrow? What is happening with age verification in UK?
You need to prove you are an adult usually via CC when you want a wank
So kids and adults started to use VPNs
So now the government is considering forcing VPN's to also perform age verification
What is next? Do you need more examples of how this is idiotic? Do you know the reason why no one is up in arms about the RealName? Because it was not implemented specifically to facilitate age verification where as this change is purely and specifically to be used for this purpose and no other. Go read the actual PR.
Deserves, the change is garbage, it affects so few people and now the rest of us have this option to be forced to use it at a later date. garbage human. Most of linux users will not be touched by any of this garbage law. i am rather militant over this
Back when i was that young there was nothing to take a snap with, cameras back then had to develop film...
Not that we had a computer or internet at that time
Continent Thank you yes
It’s not just one law (/statute). Around a third of a billion and increasing, seems a strange quantity to dismiss as “so few people in the world”. EU alone has more population than the affected regions by a few hundred million. Why should we be putting up with this nonsense in advance? This is absolutely wrong and how does this get affected by our GDPR laws? Please don't forget that not everyone lives in a complete technocratic dystopia and we place more value on certain protections. Trying to predict when the next ludicrous right wing nonces will win and try to put through their own child molesting agendas in EU seems premature.
How long until USA becomes the new Noth Korea where you can only get 28 state sanctioned haircuts? Should we comply with this requirement too? You know its only a matter of time isn't it? (If sarcasm is not clear, I apologise for nothing)
Its only one state, the rest of the world for now still have some fucking sense. If anything its disproportionate to appease a local government with global systems, whats next? Appease North Korea? Or Putin? Block Linux from working in Ukraine? How fucking insane is this dipshit to add changes to a global product for a thing that affects only 40m people out of fucking billions?
Fair enough that's pretty surprising, so even Arch is not safe from lunatics... That is disappointing. As a Manjaro user, I am likely to pick up their changes via both systemd and since Manjaro is Arch based... Sad and disappointed by useful morons who have no fucking clue.
3 word generators for the win 😀
Considering how bad Afghanistan was with half population and no stranglehold on critical shortcut... yeah not a chance. USA population is what 300mil+? Iran is about 90+.
