Not for them, when the world capitulates. We are so close to never getting back that bowing to petulant pedos will make inaccessible.

Shithole country.

I did see something recently about local LLMs and voice input layers. The post made it seem very Jarvis like, think it may have been the voice used or the name.

Knowing nothing about tech other than I want my privacy I am hoping it is feasible for the common man

They should have blocked twitter because it is a shithole propaganda network.

These just dont need to be online. 90% of the use I have seen is timers and lights, like a half step above hello world.

There is a market for voice assistants that are local.

There are multiple prepaid mastercards available that you could pay for in cash. Currency cards for travelling that can be used online.

Germany are part of this problem, a bigger part than most. They committed the holocaust and then set in motion this genocide only to now defend it and morally grandstand to those who have a pair of balls and recognise the reality.

Germany shouldnt give any "we are not the nazis" shit when this is how they still carry themselves.

I have only tried a few of these. ChatGPT, Le Chat and then maybe a couple of days with Copilot and hours with Gemini.

Unfortunately, Le Chat is a bit on the weaker side though I would prefer its success to others.

Copilot sucked at everything including microsoft specific stuff like excel formulas and actually editing a sheet when it asked I upload it and then made insane changes that made no sense and presented it as accurate.

Gemini, I dont like google and just avoided it straight away.

ChatGPT is my go to, free only as I generally only use it as a sounding board or for broad simple research such as listing family events in my area, you know put together lists.

What you say is my gripe with it too, I have told gpt to be concise, direct and critical and it improved but it needs reminding every few days not to run off into "great idea, heres why would you like more of ehy its great ad how to do it?"

Hi All,

I am looking at starting a project and was wondering if there was a way to make it so a controller type changed boot conditions. I want to move to linux for my home entertainment and would like to have a ps5 controller boot Lutris and a different controller boot into something like KDE plasma.

Is this a possibility or nonsense?

The playstore is really poorly laid out. I dont know how to leave a review anymore. Every description has the same nonsense first instead of a description. Sometimes you can select the app developer to load their page with all their apps and sometimes you can't. When did it get so bad?

I just wanted to flag an issue with an app and the review function isnt there.

Organisational Theory Thesis Survey

Hello, I am doing a thesis on organisational theory. I would appreciate as many responders as possible.

Survey here, shortened google forms link https://forms.gle/GqdmseDSVgdyUy7FA

Hey,

I recently made the jump to linux. I wanted to sart PC gaming and figured I would start as I mean to go on.

I am having an issue with getting my ps5 controller connected. Steam recognises it, everything mapped fine. I open pcsx2 and it thinks its a dualshock 2. I cannot get it to work in game. I have remapped and everything but when I get to a menu, the D pad will work but selecting an option won't.

Any advice appreciated.

Can someone please tell me why the gmail android app does not allow for this? Is there some system condition that disables this feature. It is surely related to android becuase iOS has signature matching.

Google owns every step of this.

I an lost with what to wear to my wedding. It is a summertime lakehouse venue and I am thinking 100 different things.

Half of me wants to stand out that bit extra and get a dinner jacket/tux. Or else a three piece mismatched set, like matching waistcoat and pants with a different colour jacket.

The other half wants simplicity with a two piece and suspenders.

I like three pieces because they keep you looking together throughout a long day and night.

I am mostly against check patterns and am leaning toward greens like sage or emerald with cream but open to options. Happy with earth tones or natural colours.

I need to get up without waking the wife and kids, I got a smartwatch to vibrate and it woke her. The alarm is always going to wake the house.

Is there anything else?

I watched beautiful Kate years and years ago, my first Mendo movie, and I loved the music. I used to listen to the main theme and "this little Bird" on YouTube but the latter has been removed from everywhere I've searched.

If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it.

I check the spec and it has a wifi chip but the os can't see it.

I had a wifi toggle on windows 11 when I got the PC and also when I used a mint USB boot. Driver manager sees nothing to update or install.

The mint community page has failed to post my question a few times so now I'm here.

I want to get a sync box but they are not 4k120. The FancyLEDs box only has one input meaning I can't use a PS5 and set top box or Apple TV.

Any advice or successful set ups?

I am looking for speakers, decent quality and nice looking that doesn't stand out too much. I want it on a bookshelf in the kitchen and another in the sitting room.

I want it to connect to a home server but also Spotify/streaming. And I'd like them to link together.

Basically I want the house listening experience to be seamless when going between different rooms, 2-4 speakers. Audiobooks and some music would be stored on a Nas and most music and podcasts would be Spotify.

I'd prefer to interact with it through my phone, Android if possible but not completely necessary.

In my head I imagine walking into a new room and tapping the speaker with my phone to switch to that speaker.

Is this a real thing?
