Doesn't matter, tbh. It shouldn't be there in the first place

Cool! Now if only it would scrap the shitty DRM

I can't source it right this second, but in an interview, the show runners said they based Korra's setting on the 1920s US, simply because they thought it would look cool, which is.... Horrid world building.

I wouldn't say putting a man on the moon isn't important. It's certainly very cool. But is it as important as satellites? Fuck no!

Hey now, some of us do actual Marxist Political Economy. We're not all soulless number wizards, or bootlicking freaks trying to become alphabet boys

I do my best to engage in good faith with people outside of our instance. I wish jumping to memes or antagonism wasn't so many people's first instinct. And that goes for people regardless of instance, when talking to/about "tankies".

I get the impression the DPRK's support boils down to the fact that, if the US is bogged down supporting Ukraine, that's less resources going to harass the North.

Their support of Russia has zero impact on the status of the war as imperialist or not.

The podcast Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff did a couple of really good episodes on this topic: Part 1 Part 2

As for readings, the book War at Every Door: Partisan Politics and Guerilla Violence in East Tennessee, 1860-1869 by Noel C.Fisher goes into a lot of depth about the East Tennessee insurgency.

Plus, plenty of Appalachian regions full of subsistence Farmers seceded or attempted to secede from the Confederacy (e.g. West Virginia and East Tennessee) and waged insurgencies against it. Often in tandem with guerilla bands of runaway slaves.

The South was at much at war with itself, as it was with the North in many cases.

I hope you realize that hexbear federating is the exact opposite of trying to be an echo chamber.

Aaaaand it requires my email address 😑

A friend forwarded me a test like this, about make-up, which did the same thing. I wish I could figure this shit out without every resource trying to acquire every detail of my digital life, to beam advertising at me 24/7
