Did they ignore it? Yes but the only reason they ignored it was because...

  1. The oil industry (and other adjacent industries) did their best to make sure everybody doubted the science of climate change

  2. Governments (the U.S gov't in particular) took the oil industry's side and subsidized their ventures

  3. Libertarian think tanks (like the Heritage Foundation and ALEC) took money from Big Oil to misinform the public about climate change and its connection to fossil fuel burning.

John Brown would be so proud!

Protections? Is that what we're calling state-sanctioned censorship these days?

Fellow Lemmings, I think it's about time we boosted the NSFW instance.

Why are they defending an app/website that has essentially become a knockoff of Stormfront?

Finally, a sequel to Meatspin. After 45 purchases, you are officially garlic!

... and I have my age settings so I can see adult games like GTA/Dishonored, not “Super Hentai Bejeweled 3000”.

The former belong to the M rated category while the hypothetical latter would belong to the Adults Only category. As others have pointed out, you can hide adult games and still see other games with violence and mature themes. Steam classifies M-rated games and AO-rated games differently.

R.I.P Hellraiser. May you rock out in the afterlife with Dio, Lemmy, Cliff and all the others we have lost. Forgive us for though you said 'No More Tears' we shed this loss. Rest easy.

A shame really since their stories kick-started the entire Marvel Comics mythos. The Skrulls, Black Panther, Galactus, Silver Surfer, and, of course, Doctor Doom all originated in the pages of FF comics. Yet, as time went, they were overshadowed by later creations. There were only two notable eras of FF comics: the original Kirby/Lee run and the John Byrne era. The only other notable FF stories were some crossovers with the Chris Claremont era X-men comics.

Look, Bobby, I can get behind this but I don't go my drug dealer when I'm feeling sick.

A life? But I got a Steam Deck!

Are IT jobs in The Netherlands in high demand? What kind of qualifications do they look for?

While iFixit's iOpener is a good tool and it was what I used replace the screen on my Pixel 7 Pro but I think a heat plate is a better option for any future project. I have two older phones that I want to fix up but this time I want to do things a little more 'professional.' There's a heat plate that Hugh Jeffreys uses (example here) but I haven't been able to find that exact one or even a similar product. During my search for a heat plate, I saw recommendations for a heat mat called CPB. While it looks like a good tool, it gives off the impression of a hobbyist project rather than a professional job. I will consider, though, if I can't find any good heat plates. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I'm been trying to expanding to my scientific literacy and that has involved looking at articles in scientific journals; i.e. the peer-reviewed literature. However, not all journals are trust-worthy. I would like to believe that academic search engines like Google Scholar would filter out "junk science" articles that I can't rely on that always happening. So how do I spot "predatory" or "pseudo-journals"?

Sometimes, it's quite obvious: "Answers Research Journal" makes it clear that they exist for creationist confirmation bias. This, however, isn't always the case.

I also can't always rely on a publication's reputation. In that oh-so famous example, Andrew Wakefield exploited The Lancet's venerable reputation to publish a fraudulent study with consequences that still reverberate to this day.

Thanks in advance.

I'm using the last known Yuzu build. The game works fine other wise but would definitely like to run it at 60fps. Also, if there's a new Yuzu fork or a better emulator to use do let me know.
