It's extremely condescending, that's why. It's the line libs jump to when they get sick of arguing with you and want an excuse to talk down to you.

And it's particularly insulting given that I have no doubt many of us did contact our various congresscritters. I called my two senators and single house rep in addition to calling Bernie's office, and it didn't make any difference, as anyone could have predicted it wouldn't.

That exchange happened right after the lib said we should all be sending emails to Bernie's office instead of posting about it here. I'd say this response was entirely called-for.

He then took me off the register and handed me a tennis ball and told me to scrub the scuffs off the floor with it.

What the FUCK

You are a fucking assistant manager of a fucking OfficeMax, not a fucking British Navy captain, holy fucking shit

Sometimes I donate, sometimes I bump, sometimes I bump and donate. I usually do at least one of the two for individual requests. And I try to upvote every bump, to help provide a small social incentive for bumping.

Edit: what I should really do is get to work on bringing back the old active sort (I'm pretty sure I know what to do, just gotta actually do it). I recall it being easier to get posts to the top of active back then.

instead families would gather around the tv at night together and watch magical wondrous elves making passionate sweet love to golden dragons on top of magnificent castles in the clouds

People will not care if they are watching real people or AI generated people if they can't tell the difference as long as those people look like cats.

Come on, this has to be a bit

look at this hypocrite criticizing OP for not pretending to be a cat, while continuing to pretend to be a dog on the WRONG WEBSITE, not to mention never once speaking like a toddler or posting an epic wholesome slava ukraini meme

Fuck yeah, great song. Was listening to it earlier today, in fact!

Also a big fan of Machine Gun

For a site that people billed as "bizarro-world Hexbear," so far all I've seen is dogshit-tier bits using ancient memes and racism instead of, you know, actually funny jokes, or even anything clever or original.

I had a look at your site, and I think I get what you folks are like. You'll first need to read the Posting Policy Bulletin so you know the rules and what we expect here.

So, writing anything that multiple people misunderstand and find offensive, especially if it can be called 'controversial,' is an automatic disqualification from teaching, got it. Makes perfect sense, and I'm not at all deeply disappointed to see multiple hexbears upvote this horrifically bad take.

If I've misunderstood the message, and others have too (it isn't generally well liked, except in certain circles, usually called at least 'controversial'), then we can be sure that anyone writing such material shouldn't be a teacher, and certainly children shouldn't be exposed to it

Um, what? This logic could be applied to critical race theory about as easily as you've applied it here to Lolita. Way to prove that you really are a puritan.
