Even if they were to come out fire spez and go say 'our bad let's stop and talk about this' I'm still not going back.
Spacemanspliff
Still crashing.
Honestly I feel like that was the point it became obvious. That was just a fuck you.
That's the beauty of this kind of system though. beehaw can setup their server however they want, if you don't like how they have things set up don't use their local, you can either choose to interact with it through other federated instances or not.
That's one of the benefits I feel to being a smaller instance is we're not as much on the radar for things like that.
Pft you still have to read the HTML? I just stick a fiberoptic in my ass and download it rectally.
Ban those communities from your instance. There's not going to ever be any way to prevent them starting their own, all you can do is defederate. There doesn't need to be any more.
Lemmy is what aaron would've wanted.
This shows they aren't gonna back down. If big subreddit s stay blacked out, the mod teams will be replaced. Spez seems super salty that Apollo and others have been able to turn a profit, but after all this time he still hasn't been able to make reddit money.
Thank you for creating this place for us. This is my first dive into the fediverse, honestly I'm still only kinda sure what I'm doing and how many of this works.
As someone who migrated to reddit from digg during the V4 disaster, and then spent entirely to much time on reddit, I'm excited at the prospect of being somewhere so decentralized that stupid corporate games can't ruin everything.
It feels much more like reddit did during the digg migration. Every thing still feels like you're interacting with real people and a much smaller community.
From what I understand your best bet is following the Lemmy community, his discord is private for testers and Patreon members
