End or make permanent, the effect is basically the same in terms of convenience.

How are we to know you didn't just upvote yourself after posting?

Ah, it sounds like you somehow got the perception that speedrunners think that's how the game should be played, or that the existence of speedrunning comes with some kind of expectation that normal players are inferior for not attempting it. I think I've been there, can't remember. I've definitely felt a similar way about challenge runs.

It's just another way to have fun with the game, to keep it interesting after you've beaten all the content and familiarized yourself with the whole game. Sounds like it's not your cup of tea, and there's nothing wrong with that. Keep enjoying games the way you want to, and don't let anyone make you feel less for not speedrunning.

It's a little bit cool, but not nearly as cool as I thought it was. Granted, a pistol to rifle adapter wouldn't be very practical either.

Incorrect, the game ends when a king cannot avoid capture. As such, your statement is wrong and I feel betrayed.

Am I seeing this right? Is this a pistol to rifle adapter?

Hmm, intuition implies the inverse. I would have guessed men's liberation means "liberation from women" and thus misogyny. I guess unintuitive terminology is just the way things go.

Making fun of someone for not knowing something, are we?

[–] Sotuanduso@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I've definitely heard of misogynists, and of misogynists disguising themselves as legitimate men's advocates, but I'd never heard of "men's rights activists" as a specific group of misogynists before this.

Without this explanation, had someone said "men's rights activists are misogynists," I would have thought they were a misandrist, because it sounds like a general descriptor and not a specific group.

So what do you call it when someone who's not a misogynist advocates for equal treatment in the areas where men get the short end of the stick?

You could have at least used the term "misogynist" so as to not imply that men's rights are a bad thing.

Is it really worth the risk?

"Such a profound and thought-provoking piece of art" or "hee hee funny nose in pipe"?
