It appears GoComics has become more aggressive. I used to follow Garfield through a third-party RSS feed that was just a mirror of GoComics, but it recently got shut down due to DMCA.

It's so ugly, though. It looks like a Fisher Price toy. Nothing like the original R5. Same for the 208, this generation of cars is horrible. Massive square tanks.

How do I download anything from Nexus Mods? (jlai.lu)
 

I want to try out Fallout New Vegas after having watched the TV show, and beforeiplay.com recommends I use a few QoL mods, in particular one for higher resolution screens (I'm playing on a 4K monitor).

So I lookup "fallout mtui", end up on the mod's page, hit download... and am greeted with a screen telling me I need to sign up for an account.

I obviously do not want to create an account on such a shady website, so I tried using a throwaway email... rejected (of course). I then said "fuck it" and tried registering with my real email address... also rejected. "E-mail address is not valid". Well, it is, this is my primary e-mail address, has been for more than 10 years, and I've successfully used it to register on dozens of websites, including Amazon, eBay, various banks, Steam...

I found several Reddit posts about this issues, dating back to several years to a few months. Apparently, registration on Nexus Mods has been broken for very long, with no fix on the horizon.

So it seems it is impossible to download anything from there. Is there a mirror somewhere? Or are all these mods no longer possible to access?

À l’heure actuelle, il n’existe aucune obligation pour les seniors d’effectuer des contrôles médicaux pour prouver qu’ils sont toujours en état de conduire. Clairement, les pouvoirs publics peinent à légiférer sur le sujet qui divise. Aucune des propositions de loi en ce sens n’ont pour l’instant abouti.

TL;DR un tuyau d'une station service ENI était en mauvais état, polluant le carburant distribué. Quelqu'un a ruiné son moteur en faisant le plein. À la surprise de personne, l'assureur ne prend pas en charge ce type de dégâts car leur cœur de métier est de ponctionner de l'argent sans rien en retour. ENI refuse de rembourser les réparations parce que la victime ne peut pas prouver qu'elle a fait le plein à la station ce jour-là (il y a bien l'opération sur son relevé de CB, ainsi que les images de vidéo-surveillance, mais la seule preuve valable d'après ENI est un ticket de CB papier qui s'efface au bout d'une semaine et que personne ne prend de toute façon). La victime ne peut pas faire de procès à ENI car la justice en France n'est accessible qu'aux riches.
