The fancier ones still can't handle the higher settings of most new poorly optimized games. Even mid-tier cards have a shockingly low amount of RAM for what you're paying.

You still have intrusive surveillance for everything you say and everywhere you go. With the way the government is right now you probably don't want to give them more data points.

Let's not forget around 1971 is when the USD got off the gold standard. This allowed the US to print more money and that surely never caused any problems.

When 9/11 happened it had the opposite effect. We'd just lash out at the most convenient target and give up more rights for "security" and fascism.

The US really is different. In China, companies have to listen to the CCP lest it gets seized by the state and its owners disappeared. In the US the government listens to its corporate donors and now even rewards them with high ranking military positions.
