Reminds me of Hans Island, where there was a longtime border dispute between Canada and Denmark over a tiny island off of Newfoundland. They would each take each other's flag and replace it with their own, as well as a well known alcoholic beverage from each country. It was also settled peacefully, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Apologies for not being clearer!

I'm referring to the comments section on the post he linked to, where half the comments are tankies trying to defend the actions of the admins who were banning users and calling them racist for criticizing the CCP/Kremlin.

Hell, it was already considered outdated and clunky in 2008.

"Our tech is cutting edge as far as I can tell, the Creation Engine's aging very well! We're not planning on doing anything about it"

And I haven't seen a single post that's just memes about why they pirate or how morally superior we are for doing so. It's a breath of fresh air.

Exactly. r/thedonald started as a tiny joke sub started by 4Chan that wasn't dealt with until it became a festering cesspool of hate that became big enough to be a serious problem, brigading other subs and spreading hateful rhetoric. It has to be nipped in the bud and made clear that it is not welcome.

What's that old saying... "You can't reason with somebody who is in a position they didn't reason themselves into". They're not willing to change their minds or have a real discussion, the goalposts will just be moved time and time again when their hateful ideas are challenged.

He's very clearly just here to troll, not to provide any actual perspective or discussion.

Jesus christ, what a dumpster fire that comments section was.

It's what I've always used, and it hasn't given me much trouble. The only annoying thing it does sometimes is get stuck at 0kb/s, but that's fixed by just pausing and unpausing the download. It supports magnet links natively as well and can auto-detect when you click on one to download.

And even so, it might just be another Ellen Pao situation where it's just a gesture to please everyone, meanwhile the new CEO keeps making things worse.
