The news of the divorce could complicate Ken Paxton's run for U.S. Senate, where he is seeking to topple longtime incumbent John Cornyn in what is expected to be a gruelling Republican primary next year.

Doubt. The worst thing about the entire Republican base is that they hide behind Christian "forgiveness" as a justification for how shallow their value system is. They don't actually care, but it's easy enough to say "he's made a mistake, and we need to forgive him!"

I mean, look at Roy Moore. Even with the accusations floating around and admitting he dated teenagers he won the primary and then only lost the actual election by 20,715 votes out of 1,344,406 votes cast.

They have no morals, they have no values, they do not care who "their team" hurts. They will vote Republican no matter who as long as (they think) it serves their interests. They will hide behind a thin veneer of Christian forgiveness as they have for decades now.

You're right, it's not news so much as that the Clintons come from an era of politics where merely embarrassing things are still kept on the down-low. Especially considering the continued influence of 1990's Clinton-era politicking on the Democratic party. Even Obama couldn't really break that hold, as seen by Hillary being given the Secretary of State position during Obama's tenure and then running and losing after Obama. There was actually a lot of evidence at the time that the DNC was basically broke and was living off of the generosity of the Clinton foundation. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, chair of the DNC from 2011 to 2016, was literally in Hillary Clinton's pocket. While Bill Clinton himself is not particularly important as a figure these days, the family influence continues to extend deep into nearly every facet of the Democratic party, and as such, Democrats are unlikely to bite the hands that feed them so to speak.

If you or your son (or anyone else in this thread for that matter) ever want a slightly simpler option, with less likelihood of cutting, I recommend this. It has been a game changer for me personally.

Bill Clinton.

Story time. One time I was working for a local monthly paper that was all-volunteer and I interviewed someone at one of our local colleges. The interview went fine but on my way out, I noticed through a window of an empty classroom a white board with nothing on it except the words:

MOTHER FATHER CHINESE DENTIST

spoilerTrivia: According to the Mr. Show season 4 DVD commentary, years after the show ended, cast member Paul F. Tompkins had overheard someone talking on a cell phone in a bar utter the phrase “mother father chinese dentist!” When asked if she was a fan of the show, her reply was “What?”

It's a real post, but evidence suggests its a joke.

I could be wrong about the pay, of course, I don't have enough programming knowledge to apply for that. Mercor seems like another good option though for people looking for something like that. Thanks for including the suggestion for others here! I have added it to my original comment.

so what will the point of failure

Historically it has been when a significant amount of the public cannot afford to feed themselves or their families. During the Great Depression there was a lot of land to be worked and to grow food, which allowed many to still survive despite the troubling economics of the time. Now, that's not quite the case anymore, and you'll have more people struggling to make ends meet. When people say "bread and circuses" most people focus on the "circuses" but the reality is the bread is the more important bit.

and I’m even more interested if you can guess how we get around the dilemma?

Historically, a lot of strife, violence, blood, and vengeance. Most will suffer and die. Dark times ahead.
