Most new jets are fly by wire (f35 is one of these, where as the link you posted was about an aircraft which was not), they are inherently aerodynamically unstable, below a certain speed it's just gonna stall and crash not glide to the ground. We use computers to manage the instability as the instability aids in maneuverability. Passenger planes and the like are not designed like this, so they can, in theory, just glide down, but the glide slope is what will determine if it's gonna be a soft or deadly landing.

People are shamed for smoking as they should be for its health effects on them and others. Obesity should be treated no differently. You don't get to 400lb because of a bad thyroid, you get to 400lbs because you are addicted to food and over consumption. It puts undue strain on our medical facilities, and impacts the obese indivuals ability to be a functioning member of society. There should be conversations about why it's bad. We shouldn't treat it like some innocent personal choice when it is not, it's shortening lifespans, the bad diet exacerbates mental health issues, can lead to diseases like type 2 diabetes. The problem is we don't also target the food industry as much as we should for them pushing all the sugar coated processed garbage in the first place. They should be equally as ostracized as tobacco companies are for their aid in a similar epidemic.

I think it's important that we call out its shortcomings, when common bugs plague the system (think llms with hallucinations) or make it act in unison compounding risk ( think the algo Aladin used by 90% of trading firms on Wall Street, causing similar assets pics and collusion while keeping the firms hands clean as they never communicated with each other, they just used a predicitve algo that chose the same positions, which should still count as collusion but i guess not when congress cant even figure out a web browser). There are certain repetitive acts in which ai will be wildly successful, but when it comes to enforcement we can't just rely on ai as it can be exploited. Using it to cut down on creative work loads is helpful and allows for creating deeper art. Using ai to write out boiler plate code so a developer can focus on implementing business logic and security will vastly improve productivity. Where as using it for creating test scenarios will be futile as it only builds off its training data and new edge cases may never be caught. We need to define regulations on where AI can be used in commercial applications, and we need to do it ASAP.

The common factor is you.

Yeah, I have been working on my car control a lot more for high downforce cars as I started with more gt style sims before going for the fia f4 now I have my d license. Upon reflection I think I just need to be more intuitive for the differences here as I tended to off track myself after reacting to other drivers mistakes, breaking before trying to swerve when a lift probably would have been better. Making sure to trail throttle a bit more to keep momentum up for passing, I still catch myself trying to trail break where a partial lift would have served me better.

I did a GR86 race the other day and was shunted off in lap1 by an overly aggressive fellow who bumpdrafts in corners.

Yeah, shit like that is what's given me a bad taste for that series. I can drive clean and get around fine but it's those inconsistent moments that have left a sour taste in my mouth. I've been getting into the scca spec racer and while participation is a bit lacking compared to the gr86 series, the driving standards seem to be miles apart and I've been having fun clean races so that's a plus.

Now, with the changes to grass and damage repairs, maybe we'll see less offtracks resulting in bowling strikes as people can actually slow down and steer a bit on the green stuff now. And repairs prioritize mechanical damage over aero.

Haven't gotten a chance yet to drive with the new changes but from the little I saw it looks like such a night and day difference, should be able to play a bit tonight to see how it all works out now.

Least we forget the US is like the only country who won't recycle their nuclear waste. We have enough sitting to generate power for like 140 years. Waste isn't useless it can still be reprocessed...

What's made up bud?

Why don't you look up the time when the passage was written for context buddy. It's not factually incorrect it was common practice at the time...

They are domestic terrorists following an insurectionist. Let's not give them any more branding

There is no moral victory just people in power telling you to be subservient and accept their behavior or you can't go to their imaginary billionaire land in the sky. I mean even the turn the other cheek is always misrepresented. Old slave laws prevented hitting someone a certain way or they could be released, you turned the other cheek to force them to hit you in an illegal manor and try to get released or force them into a position where they couldn't hit you that time. It did not mean turn and let someone hit you ffs.

They are domestic terrorists. We need to stop beating around the bush they have even declared themselves as so much in conferences.

Honestly fuck the dude above acting like it's some superior morals to coddle a scumbag. That's how you reinforce their behavior and teach generations that being a corrupt piece of shit has no downsides, as everyone has to be nice to them anyway. It's a lie that keeps masses from revolting against corrupt politicians/rulers/governments etc. Fuck that shit let's remind those at the top its us at the bottom who support their little lavish lifestyles and can take it away in a damn instance.
