It's ok, I'll say it, billionaires are greedy fucks killing our society, individuals who should not exist in a functional society.

Talk about completely missing the fucking point Holy shit, and this is why we don't have unions. They need a collective to work properly and have an effect on the industry you disciding its bad because there isn't enough backing is the exact problem that causes there to be few decent employers for fucks sake....grow the union and watch its power to work for you grow.

Well the CCP are the biggest single investor with tencent owning over 40% of discord, which is why it has zero encryption or security, they are getting their money's worth by now having access to shit loads of data to mine, manipulate and train ais with, and we have done jack shit to prevent it, I think discord is the second largest social media platform now.

To clarify, it's the capacity, not the motors.

Fair enough, sorry for assuming you were gonna pull out the electric is just shit argument. I haven't looked into Edison motors but there is a British sport car manufacturer, can't believe I'm drawing a blank right now on the name, working on using an electric drive train with a small battery and hydrogen turbine generator that supplies 300mi of range and supposedly can run on anything from diseal to hydrogen allowing it to be completely green once we have the needed infrastructure. That battery only give like 50mi of range if I am remembering correctly but the turbine allows us to use more energy dense solutions for powering the drive train. Thus offsetting any capacity issues and needing to recharge on the track, as the car was more track/performance focused. I think for those looking to get similar range and capacity these types of solutions would be perfect, and allows us to get the benefits of both sides while mitigating anyone issue. Hopefully we can push for more hybrid like solutions like this as I think it would satisfy most gripes we have with going to more green machinery. Infrastructure is not fully built out for hydrogen or electric charging? Cool top off the generator at the gas station takes the same amount of time as before and vehicle maintenance is simpler with an electric drivetrain, keeping similar convience while also primed to take advantage of green solutions like hydrogen stations or fast chargers as they become more prevelant.

Ok but if Google is not willing to support this effort, like I asked what's your solution besides just letting it happen? Because that's not gonna spark confidence for mass adoption to move away from these bloated ad and tracker filled mainstream apps. You need to have steps for progress and this allows more control when those who are publishing said knock off applications in their store will not.

It's because they all have assets in corporate real estate, have massive amounts of debt that they just refinance latter and get more investors on board so they can ignore the problem. Now we have real pressures that would kill their inflated corporate real estate assets turning that balance sheet upsode down and they are in a panic because they haven't been effectively doing the job they are supposed to. Fuck them

They encourage you to contribute to the project and add plug-ins, they are just making sure your modification does not become the defacto so they can make sure malware, trackers or ads are not implemented into the application. They have the right to go after you if you go against this but sharing a modified apk with a friend is not going to revoke your license or get you targeted.

So how else would you combat malicious forks like what happened to new pipe? Honest question, I like this standard even if there are always more truly open source licenses, if this could become a standard that helps prevent bad actors from taking advantage of less savy users that's a big win to me and a move in the right direction all while being able to see the source code download it modify if i deem fit and install it. Perfect is the enemy of progress. What's your solution?

Seems pretty natural for me considering one of the points of open source software is to try and get away from trackers malware and bloated ad experiences so you can see directly what you are running, making sure your product is not able to be abused in that way promotes more open source initiatives while allowing the owners to make sure any changes jive with the original intent of their open source software. You are free to modify all you like so long as you don't distribute a forked version with ads, malware or trackers. They cover this very clearly.

Electric vehicles have instant torque, can use actual independent motors for each wheel to maximize grip, and can have higher hp than their gas counterparts. They have better towing and hauling capabilities than a comparable gas equivalent, I get you don't understand physics but it's a pretty basic concept, ffs....

Sure for major artists pulling in millions a year, but at that point fuck em. For indy and unsigned artists, directly buying their media goes basically straight to them and is usually the highest margin item they have. If they are a massive artist sure their merch has economy of scale setup and they rake in money through that but I don't support massive wealth inequality so they can fuck right off.

Spotify pays like 0.003 per stream the fuck are you talking about? Either you are racking up millions of plays or you are straight talking out your ass. Granted taking a shitty label deal is not something to promote, but don't act like Spotify actually pays shit, because it does not....

Selling 20 albums at $10 would net around $200, getting 20 people to listen to your album on Spotify nets maybe 80 cents.....
