I'm on PC, I have a PSN account from forever ago, and I still think this move is stupid.

That's what I thought as well, I just wasn't sure if it balanced out against a cavitation based propulsion system - maybe it does(!), but idk lol. I just assumed it would be relatively easy to detect via sonar but with a very different profile obv.

Edit*: then again, we are comparing the volume of cavitation vs a conventional submarine drive system. Could very well be that the conventional engine with more moving components is just straight up louder than bubble explosions >.>

Depends on the season. I think the bear would be better for sharing heat & surviving the cold yknow?

So am I missing something fundamental? Silent or stealth supercavitation propulsion seems extremely difficult just by its nature of creating constant explosions lol, but I am a complete layperson. I did read the take that it could be considered stealth by virtue of simply moving fast enough to use its own propulsion signature as a mask? Genuinely curious, the project sounds really cool

On the topic of bigass nonsense swords, I'm a big fan of Soul Edge (mostly for Soul Calibur 2 nostalgia reasons)

Honorable mention: Detritus's "Piecemaker"

*edit: https://wiki.lspace.org/Piecemaker

There is a tradition, right across the Multiverse, of macho law-enforcers toting ridiculously heavy sidearms, which surely represent overkill for normal policing duties. Dirty Harry had his .44 Magnum; Detritus carries a siege weapon with a two thousand pound draw.

As Detritus considers this a waste of energy if all the energy devoted to drawing back and cocking the string is only expended on a single arrow (which from a human point of view is a six-foot lance), he has adapted it still further, so that it shoots a bundle of twenty or so arrows bound together around a central core. Due to the violent force acting on them, the arrows tend to disintegrate into a cloud of supersonic (a significant fraction of local lightspeed) shrapnel which bursts into flame from air friction. The resulting fireball scythes everything in its path totally clean. Hence the name. It not only opens front doors, but frequently creates a back door as well.

Fuck! How could I forget that? Nvm boone is also GOAT. Mad respect for when you're approaching Cottonwood Cove, or the Fort etc. and he says "I'm gonna start shooting" and you can just say "Hell yeah brother, me too"

I offer the liberal enlightened centrist conclusion: all the companions are cool and good, though I think Raul, Gannon, & Veronica are my favorites. Hard not to take Boone sometimes though; the highlighting enemies is nice, him killing enemies before you even know they're there is nicer.

I respect the intervention on behalf of the miners superman rat-salute-2 but you're too kind sometimes
