Uh, no, the median yearly income is 572k NOK (51k USD), the mean is 631k NOK (57k USD).

Well, maybe, I guess it isn't really surprising to me. I certainly do think many in the upper middle class are consuming far beyond what is reasonable, from cars, to massive homes, to vacation homes, to just the sheer amount of stuff they buy and throw out. It's unnecessary, and not needed for a good and still luxurious life.
I also think you overestimate how many western people are rich by this standard. For example, nobody I know would be part of the 10% here by that income, and I live in Norway.
And really, you really don't need more than that to live a good and luxurious life. In fact I think you don't even need to be anywhere close to that, even. Especially if you implement some actual rent controls, lower incomes are plenty fine.
..a lot of people do argue against their cause, though, is the thing. We cannot wait for change to happen, we gotta force some hands.
The arts are like one of the first things to go if shit will start to go down due to climate change
This is the best reason to not needlessly curse. Because once you do, shit's serious
Imagine the US deploying AI bots to deal with "anti-US hate". Wild.
I guess that was kinda the cold war though.
So, I think I found the original study: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41557-023-01346-3, because for some reason these articles never cite the actual studies. What happened to citing sources??
Anyway, apparently they did grew octyltrichlorosilane on silicon wafers. Now, I have no idea what octyltrichlorosilane is, but here is some information I found about it https://www.chemicalbook.com/msds/Octyltrichlorosilane.htm
It seems to be purely a chemical used for research, so this study would be more of a proof of concept, and you would replace the chemical used with something else for production.
What about an Isekai that gets thrown into our world from a fantasy one
I know. And I keep telling my stupid brain that.
I do keep acting as if I truly believe that my friends and close ones like me, but sometimes it really does feel like a mask. The most productive thing to do is to act as if you are liked, even if you don't believe it.
But no yeah irrational brain is dumb. Ever catching onto the smallest innocent thing, thinking "this is it" (it's almost never it). It's exhausting.
And in turn, ever gradually are artists losing more jobs.
Like it or not, generative AI is already replacing jobs, and we as a society aren't ready for it, even though automation should be a good thing.
God if this isn't relatable
I guess one kinda has to risk being hurt to live sometimes, all relationships end in the end, after all, whether it's romantic, friends, pets, familial. Just try to enjoy it while it lasts. The alternative isn't exactly better.
