Damn near everything in our modern world is a consequence of research. Why do people never realize this? Your phone is not just some magic object from the heavens.

Welcome to the new normal, I guess

But the thing is, it very much can end. The past does not set a precedent for the future. Every year that goes by us a new situation with new technology, weapons, and climate.

Maybe the world had little chance of ending before nuclear weapons, but after? We know for a fact it can.

What does this have to do with anything

If you don't have a deficiency. If you do, absorbing more than 100% of daily value will work towards resolving the deficiency faster.

I know, I was furthering the point. Even if they "lose", they don't lose.

This is genuinely a very nice song, if put into context. She got so much undeserved shit for the original, and in the end, embraced it while making a name for herself in hyperpop (and I do like her hyperpop stuff, also dorian electrica etc.).

As someone in the youtube comments said, this song is the embodiment of dancing on the grave of cringe culture, and we're better off for it.

And what's the worst that can happen to them? "Oh no, instead of having 2 villas I will only be left with 1?"

Chances are they already can choose to not work for the rest of their lives. They will never get into a worse position than the average worker already is in.

Once you need it, or, alternatively, once you have enough to live comfortably for the rest of your life. It's exponential growth, you only get one chance, just gotta decide what your goal with the money actually is.

Someone is bonking alright

If humanity survives into the future without regressing technologically, I think it's very likely that humanity will expand into space. Yes, the earth is very habitable, but space is abundant in resources if we can get to them, as well as opening up a new world of manufacturing due to no space or gravity limitations. Possibly will be necessary for future research and science as well, as ever more demanding experiments will be desired.

Once space infrastructure gets really going, I think space will be a very natural environment to expand into. And that will also imply at least semi-permanent habitats.
