Agreed. 12 year old me was obsessed with building robots with tank treads and lasers after watching these movies.

I still remember the home Newton tells Johnny towards the end of the first movie. And when Bonnie Tyler starts belting out Waiting for a Hero, whoof, still love that series of scenes

So, when someone gets divorced in Arkansas, are they still siblings?

*sigh*

I'm gonna need some context

Half the time it winds up being my fault as GM.

I just couldn't resist making the transport pilot a Marge Simpson joke. Or the hotel front desk clerk the clergyman from The Princess Bride.

Look, I can't do accents but I like funny voices, okay?

Unfortunately taxes is how gentrification of neighborhoods removes the poors. If property taxes remember relatively flat for low income property owners they could actually benefit from the equity they put into their homes. Instead of rising with the waters of gentrification they are squeezed out of their home and future benefits of living in an improving neighborhood.

It really is. It wouldn't be so bad if the entire country wasn't already a joke. A sad, sad joke. It's like if you see a girl that's a 6, but she's standing by a 10, so she seems like a 4. That punchline was a 6

I didn't know where I was going with that but it sucks here and it's getting worse. I'm gonna go touch grass before some billionaire buys it all

The USA has nukes and a history of using them

That's the difference. Every country has a large population of reactive idiots, the USA is just in the news a lot because their reactive idiots hold a lot of power for some reason

Leaving aside how gross it is, and separate from whether corporations should be the arbiters of morality:

Incest between parent and child, even if the offspring is of legal age of consent, would imply an insurmountable power differential as well as likely grooming. Incest between siblings would depend on the age differential and authority structure of the family. It's not a case of incest=abuse, but of how likely it could imply abuse. The challenge is nuance. The goal is harm reduction

I understand that for some incest porn is enjoyable, not because they would commit incest themselves, but because incest=forbidden=naughty=sexy. Maybe that's you? In any case, you asked how violence is implied, and that's my take

Oh yeah, sorry, I meant season. Season 4 with David and Katherine. Every episode landed (imo) and they bounced off each other like mad. And Donna not having a massive crush on the Doctor was also refreshing. "Too skinny", lol

Fully agree that the show quality has been spotty at best. Which writer/showrunner do you think started the decline? Moffat had a good run with Matt Smith (although I hate what he did with the Weeping Angels, for creative reasons. For that matter, Russell Davies wrote Love and Monsters and that one is definitely on my skip list.) I think Peter Capaldi got shafted tho. Such a waste of talent

David and Catherine have such amazing chemistry. Probably my favorite series of NuWho

A little into about me. I'm in my mid-forties, I live in Ohio, USA, and am on Medicaid. I suspect I have either ADD or ADHD but I can't get diagnostic testing covered by Medicaid. What can I do to get testing or treatment? There are lots of "in-network" providers, but every time I get the focus to try and make an appointment no one answers their phones, or they're not taking new patients, or they're not in network after all. I'm so so so tired
