If I click on the second link, I get a 404 not found. Is this a known/temporary bug?

Washington Post had an article about this with a lot more facts, a couple days ago:

(temporarily free article on a mostly-paywalled site.)
Also tildes.net. However, they're trying to grow slowly, and they're focused on text-only discussions.
Go back to your Reddit friends (e: if you miss them).
I hate Reddit as much as anyone else, but why make yourself miserable because of an API change?
Stay on kbin AND stay on Reddit. Evangelize!
once his "real" work friends get there
Steiner will attack from the north and unite with the Ninth army. Wenck will support them with the Twelfth Army.
They will repel the mods with a relentless and almighty assault.
use your last few days as mod to immediately migrate to Lemmy.
Well, no, they should first shred (overwrite then delete) all their Reddit comments.
Then they should create a new Lemmy or Kbin community and start posting content.
Then go back to Reddit and point to the new community until they get kicked off for actions detrimental to the financial wellbeing of spez or something.
Going to war against NATO-trained and -equipped troops doesn't benefit them. There are much easier opponents in developing nations that they'd probably prefer to be fighting against.
"There is nothing special about Reddit except its community and the content the community created."
This is the fundamental truth that rules all others.
Reddit hasn't been shot in the head. It won't die immediately. It has cancer.
Great analogy. Reddit is also like someone with a serious addiction. In this case, to money. They're going to keep making stupid decisions because they've got to have that money, and not just "enough" but more and more and they'll screw you over to get it. You'll forgive them once or twice. You'll try to talk them out of it. You'll get their friends involved. You'll tell them all that they're throwing away. But they've got to have more money. Ultimately you have to give up on them for your own sanity. They'll still be wandering around town, stinking and ridiculed and talking to themselves, doing anything no matter how degrading for just a little bit more money. Eventually you'll just pretend you never knew them.
I hate those new swivel credit card payment things so much that I started paying for everything in cash.
I do a lot of takeout and I generally give 1-3 dollar bills as tip. People have been OK with that, and at least I can see who's getting it.
RedReader on Android and something on iPhone will still be available apps for Reddit. However, inevitably Reddit will screw with them out of greed, and by that time the Kbin/Lemmy apps should be done.
The biggest wave will come when Reddit inevitably kills old.reddit.
Spez is turning into the prototype of a not-too-bright villain.
Q: "Why is there random trash dumped in the alley?"
A: "Dunno, Spez must have been here."
