Me too, so much!

A big reason why I've come to like Lemmy communities so much is really because they give me some old internet feeling. It's not super crowded, it's an app that isn't design for brain rot, it allows interesting online discussion etc.

I think projects like this can continue to exist, even in a bleak corporate owned internet.

It's yet another step in seeing the Internet becoming owned by big corporations. Only big corporations can implement these things.

Art, creativity, people doing internet things as a hobby, that is dying more and more everyday.

This game holds a special place in my life. Back in the 90s we had it on the family PC and it was so awesome.

Every once in a while I play it on DOSBox. I fully recomend it. It's an amazing game.

I was playing Spider-Man 2, where Kraven is a major character, when this movie came out and I wasn't even aware of it. It is also now available on Netflix.

Imagine that can be done to get social security numbers, credit card numbers, people's private information like addresses, phone numbers, emails, etc.

I don't even know why we talk with other people in companies anymore. We can't send emails because people don't read them. So we are drowning in calls where we include the whole team where we talk about our weekends for 5 minutes at the start and spend half talking about what could have been a email. So on top we have bots that do these summaries so people can be sitting on calls only paying half attention to then not read the summaries anyway.

Portugal comes from "Portus Cale". It was in the general area of the city of Porto. The word "Postus" and "Porto" mean port, as in a port for ships.

I remember the reaction at the time and so many people hated it. I didn't dislike it, I was getting a bit into it.

Yeah, really baffling direction. I ended up trying a version on gnome 3 on a Debian distro when I had a new job. It ran very slowly. Super weird. It used to be super smooth.

Interesting. I think they might have been my problem, I was just trying to use it tradicionally. I wonder how it's different nowadays.
