As codecs go, I love AV1. More and more hardware support everywhere, it seems more future proof than h265 even at this point.

Rip at native DVD resolution and don't forget ALL the audio tracks, as many English users always forget about the rest of the world.

Work is work.

Is sex work selling your body? Is doing masonry carpentry or road fixing work anything less than that?

Is sex work ethical? Is working for a weapon manufacture ethical?

I think the point on sex work is a different one: exploitation. That is wrong and should not be allowed or tolerated. But is it avoidable?

The focus should not be on the sex workers tough, but on the clients. The sex workers will always be there as long as there is demand for them.

So, yes, give sex workers the opportunity to work in a safe and not abused environment, so that it can be a choice like any other work. Which means, legalize, regulate, and so on.

My guess you had broken cables or defective connectors. Because even on cat5 (not cat5e) you should get much more than 7mbit, or did you have coaxial? LoL.

In my experience 90% are plugs, specially if you crimped yourself with Chinese tools

Ext4 on every Linux device.

Ah i dont have any other kind of devices (android on mobile, but there I have no choices on fs)

Why not btrfs? Don't know, been using what has kept working flawlessly for me for the last 20+ years, no need to replace ext4.

Had the same issues, it was heat.

Cool down your server, add a fan or a cooler...

I added a usb-powered fan sucking cooler air from outside the server area directly blowing it on the chassis.

That fixed for me.

I can understand pedantic when referring to language, spelling and grammar...

Bit honestly, in English? It's probably the most fluid language in the world today... Spoken so differently all around the globe... Always evolving and surprising....

No I am not a native English speaker, but I am sometimes pedantic on my mother language with my kids... So... :)

Not trying to win anything. But isn't the music the art from the artist? Do usually the artist also design the covers and albums themselves?

You want to purchase a vibration of the air?

a sound?

I understand why you want a physical object to hold, but owning the music to me means no DRM, then the bits are mine and I can do whatever I want with them.

Indeed go buy posters, lyrics, any physical item you want from your band. Caps, cups, t-shirts, any form of art.

But I still don't see a reason for CDs. Then buy vinyls, at least the art is far bigger!

We could print to stone maybe, with redoundancy and CRC codes embedded, using chisels.

That could last a bit longer, maybe.

Indeed you are, but if you release it you probably want people to use it, otherwise why release at all? Going github/gitlab way just make that easier.

You are free to do what you want ofc, just my thoughts.

Why not publish on github or gitlab? Or setup a gitea/similar website and post it?

I did so with a few of my small stuff.
