Why the second account? Or is this just another in the string of dire wolf posters?

I would generally agree, the one extra factor though is that Trump will never admit he was wrong for selecting him to begin with, so there would have to be some kind of betrayal that he cuts him off for. Last I heard he was still saying Pete is a great guy and top choice, so it'll be interesting to see what he spins to blame it on someone other than himself.

Make sure they have their flight back already lined up and someone holding the plane.

Sorry Pete, you've become a political liability. Take your $10B severance and hit the ~~bricks~~ beach.

What's with the wave of new accounts spamming articles about this in the last few days? They're slightly modified modern wolves, not recreations of extinct species, and largely discarded as hype by the scientific community. You're not going to AstroTurf support here...

Let's tack Donnie into that call for losing their job for not doing a damn thing to prevent this after the first time around. Incompetent management, why do we not have a no-confidence vote mechanism?

There where a couple women in charge of military divisions, head of the coast guard was one I think. I'm sure there have been plenty that he sees as DEI that got tossed without a lot of reporting.

Secondary bar for starfish pose crucification, the proper origin of putting stars on holiday trees

Who was it that said the rule was 'half your age + 7', think it was from a movie or something?

It's not too far of a gap to be an issue in general, but some places it might get legally twitchy. Here they have what they refer to as a 'Romeo and Juliet' law that if I recall has a sliding window of a couple years around 18 that allows for people on either side to date within some number of years.

Ethically I wouldn't think much on it. You could well have been a single grade apart in school depending on when each birthday falls in the year, that's hardly worth noting.

If voters can be made to see that this is the true nature of the choice Vance and Trump are making, they’d surely recoil.

Worth a read overall, but this last like I question. Trump famously made a comment about shooting someone on 5th avenue and not losing any votes. That perspective is largely unchanged. There are core constituents loyal to him that no longer care about the American ideals they grew up with, only that they can hurt 'them', the others that are outside whatever selected group these people associate with. Outside go that nothing matters.

Then there are people so utterly deranged with conspiracy nonsense as to live in a different reality from the rest of us. There's one in a town nearby who has a large sign on the front of their garage:

"Thank Q President George Patton Jr."

Which I guess is one of the latest asylum fantasies. This same person had a flag up with the 'WWGOWGA' slogan on it large enough and on a tall enough pole to be seen by the whole town (since shredded by the elements thankfully).

These people are going to at best take take years of work to return to anything resembling normal and quite possibly never will.

That worked so well before after he claimed it wasn't the court's business to handle such things.
