https://www.gameshub.com/news/article/australian-anti-porn-group-collective-shout-escalates-its-war-for-video-game-censorship-2736180

Collective Shout is a self-described feminist non-partisan organization, but has alleged ties with anti-trans and conservative organizations. The group has developed a reputation as a sort of puritan crusade that targets everything from Detroit: Become Human to Tyler, the Creator.

This one quote tells me what kind of people Collective Shout are. First, Collective Shout will go after the low hanging fruit and then will move to LGBT themed games.

This all starting to sound like amphetamines, the cheaper version of cocaine.

I saw the network traffic at 60% blocked one time and I had to confront them and flatly ask them “what the fuck are you doing on your phone?”

Be careful of the answer. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

“I asked cocaine to make me a birthday card for my nephew. It’s not as polished as the one I bought in the shop, but the cocaine one was a lot cheaper”

That's pretty cheap cocaine. Are we sure it was cocaine?

Pretending people hang out and socialize in Wal-Marts for the sake of the movie?

Wal-Mart "Did someone say product placement?"

And that's why, we should support the Chaos Gods.

My favorite review was the one for Gloomhaven, a fantasy game.

Out-of-place diversity in a 'medieval' setting. The Scoundrel class is a WOC. Multiple other units are POC with no explanation as to how such diversity exists.

...........From my understanding "Game has monsters no need explain. PoC? HOLY SHIT HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!? IMMERSIVE TOTALLY RUINED"

Or Dredge, the fishing game that takes place in a world that is totally fictional and literal sea monsters.

Contains overtly pro-DEI messaging. Out of place diversity in what appears to be a 20th century setting.

Fictional word? Sure, I could see it. Lovecraftian horrors? Sure. that could happen in the 20th century. Diversity? That couldn't happen!

Or Hunt: Showdown, the game with literal fucking zombies and monsters in a fictional Louisiana.

Contains overtly pro-DEI, overly pro-LGBTQ, and subtly pro-immigration messaging. Out of place diversity in a late 19th century setting. Improbable female, Black, and immigrant bounty hunters.

Granted, it has been a long time since I play Hunt. From what I remember there really wasn't an overall story to the game. There is no plot outside of "go hunt this creature". Reminder, this all takes place in a world with fucking zombies.

Or my favourite, the Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe, I shit you not:

Contains overtly pro-LGBTQ messaging. This version refers to the player as 'they' rather than 'he or she' like the original did

That's right, switching a pronoun that grammatically is correct is now considered woke.

Honorable mentions:

  • Call of the Wild: the Angler

  • Hellblade
  • Deathloop
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

I will second this motion of changing the name from Washington Commanders to Washington Epsteins.

But, but, but. We were told to vote blue not matter who. Was that just propaganda to vote for corporate democrats?

Adult content creators and gamers alike have focused intensely on Collective Shout, and for good reason. The group is proudly touting its work pressuring payment processors to get hundreds of Steam games banned. But Collective Shout is the beginning, not the end, of a far larger issue. The organization is clearly networked with some far bigger players in the world of online censorship. Whether that’s Exodus Cry or NCOSE, it’s likely that Collective Shout has some heavy-hitters working behind the scenes in order to accomplish its goals.

But unless Collective Shout directly publishes its list of so-called “child abuse” games on Steam, its public bluster on the topic appears to be manipulative in nature, akin to how it treated GTA and Detroit: Become Human in the past. In other words, concerned feminists worried about Collective Shout’s credibility may want to side with the gamers on this one: The so-called feminist organization pushing for Steam censorship isn’t telling you the full truth.

It was never about "protecting children", it's about pushing a censorship agenda.
