The main causes of remote workers’ reduced emissions were less office energy use, as well as fewer emissions from a daily commute.

I mean yeah, that makes sense,

But I wonder what the numbers are when it comes to everyone keeping their homes heated/cooled all day compared to communal heating/cooling of a building.

People working at home will increase their personal emissions to keep their home office heated/cooled, and I suspect you get more bang for your energy buck if they are all in one spot instead of spread out into multiple buildings.

So sure.. less office energy use, but increased home energy use...

I wonder how the study calculated that or even bothered...

So, that means no one from Lemmy.World can see https://kbin.social/m/functionalprint anymore?

This thread is now broken?

https://kbin.social/m/functionalprint/t/353785/Replacement-wheel-for-a-child-s-RC-car

Maybe I misunderstood, is it some kbin communities (for now) or all?

So by your definition there is only

  • Plugged in 24/7 = Continuous Load
  • Not 24/7 = Intermittent

Jesus, thankfully I also size electrical systems and I would never hire you.

The amount of CCTV in the UK even 15 years ago was uncanny and creepy AF

Everywhere I went, there were camera's EVERYWHERE.

That ship has sailed a long time ago.... UK citizens are used to having camera's on them at all times already.

Did it work? How long did it last?

What are you talking about? When MS had the only image AI in the game, it was garbage and couldn't do anything useful. Of course no one was threatened.

But after researchers got their hands on nVidia 3000 series cards, and finally had access to hardware.

More advanced research papers started spilling out, which has caused this crazy leap in AI tech.

Now the image/audio AI is advanced enough to be useful, hence now the threats..

Car Charger wouldn't be an intermittent load,

ahh yes... "accidentally"

Alright, well then I wouldn't rule out a very loose connection at the thermistor then.

  1. I'd probably test the thermistor's reading with no steppers active. (unplug them if you have to)

  2. If signal is still noisy, pull the thermistor out and test. (possibly replace thermisitor)

  3. If it's not noisy, move the hotend around with the steppers off and see if it gets noisy with motion. go back to 2

  4. If it's still not noisy, it's definitely EMF from the steppers, and you'll need to replace the wire to the sensor. ideally with shielded wire and try not to run it along the same path as the stepper wires.

Sorry, I'm a little confused.

So you attempted to replace the nozzle or the hotend at first?

and when you had a problem you replaced the hotend?
