I try so hard to not buy books. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I love travel/exploration books, archaeology and specialist atlases and find it nearly irresistible to not buy them.

( the only way I found to not buy books is to not look at books )

Just a quiet day here, a little tidying, one load of washing, I don't have to do cooking because I made pies last night. Will continue to watch telly and do calligraphy.

That's the best, just soak/float until the water cools a bit. The warmth eases tension and then the cooling relieves inflammation. ๐Ÿ‘

I buy according to colour, which is a system that has just as much scientific validity .

Watching a new to me movie everyday, not just lotr & hobbit ๐Ÿ˜

Today was Good Will Hunting. I had been putting off watching this for decades because ... "reasons"

Yes, it hit as hard as I thought it would. But I'm older now and can see that movie was written by kids, genius kids but kids. ๐Ÿ˜‰

It's true, easy work is relaxing, it leaves the mind free.

Luck is more important than most people know.

Choices in life aren't usually dichotomous, you don't have to choose between a person/people and opportunity. If you can, choose both.

Still shits me that society thinks smart people have a duty to self actualise and serve society. If there is duty the duty goes both ways. You want what brains can give, then give brains some support and respect their freedom of choice.

This is true. Find your people.
