Hyperion Cantos. The beginning was incredibly promising but then it all went to hell with the magic Mary Sue type girl that deflated any stakes to zero and one of the most insufferable baffoons for the main character. Ah yes and the romance between those two was an actual joke, one-dimensional, unjustified and kinda creepy. By the end of the series I was seriously pissed off at the author for squandering all of the potential.

In Gaben we trust. Epic sold out to Tencent which is evil.

Yeah it would blow his mind knowing that China is the biggest importer of pureblooded American soy beans.

Maybe they're deep because of water erosion from rains over a thousand years, those bricks look pretty polished.

Sure it increases your calorie expenditure like any activity, but it can be rather miniscule compared to the amount of control you get by limiting the intake. But you'll get stronger muscles including the heart which make you burn even more energy even passively. But you'll get hungrier, it's inevitable in either case.

I'm halfway through Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds. I'll be definitely getting the next one as soon as I finish. It's been a while since I've read such a cool hard sci-fi story.

I lived through August with constant 36+ without an AC. Next year I'm fixing the damn thing or I'll just die.
