Agreed. I made an effort to meet new people and friends when destiny originally launched. We had a rocking clan that eventually tuned down into 8 core... then they slowly dwindled. Once we got below 6 and could raid anymore, no one wanted to make a new friend, so we all kinda fizzled out.

To the person you responded to's point tho, that 1/3 that care for differing degree see that fact as a reason to fracture. The people who do care, regardless of how much, cant unite to make any progress. The first 1/3 you mentioned is united and follows orders, so theyre getting their way.
If the third that care can unite, itll be much easier to convince others to care
