All of this is not to say who deserves X or Y, or whatever, or that the majority of Americans will suffer or not. This is to say I'm desensitized towards people's suffering in the USA in the same way an American would be apathetic to suffering in the global south. Not the racism part. If you think the USA's domestic policy is terrible and social murder, wait till you find out about its foreign policies. They do social murder too, but regular murder, mass murder, and terrorism sponsored by the richest nation are also on the table.

I agree that they're unethically made by stealing data. That's indisputable. What I fail to grasp is what the purpose of hating a technology is. Blame and responsibility are weird concepts. I'm not knowledgeable in philosophy or anything related to this. What I can tell, however, is that hating on the tech itself distracts people from blaming those actually responsible, the humans doing the enshittification. The billionaires, dictators...

(tangent) and I'd go as far as to say anyone who politically represents more people than they know personally is not the type of politician that should be allowed. Every non American in the world knows that when the USA government talks about "democracy and freedom", they're fucking LYING. And you think they've been at all democratic in their own country? What little democracy the USA has had is not a democracy. There are so many flaws in this system. I'm guessing you think the USA is democratic because in every other country rhe USA has couped or warred with, they have elections too, but there are fewer layers of trickery and propaganda. America is so good at propaganda most of the population wouldn't consider that this nation even has propaganda.
