I got a kindle for Christmas and have read more in the last few months than in the last decade. I think it being a screen kinda helps, and also being able to download books instantly instead of having to go to the library or a bookstore.

This is also a car that has the drive selection moved to the iPad on the dash.

I mean I talk about it every now and then, my kid was being shown those videos when they were young. I keep YouTube off any TV's or the kids tablets because YouTube was so irresponsible. For all Disney's and Netflix's faults I'd much rather the kids watch something that's been at least better curated than whatever the hell YouTube kids is.

But after a few decades of the right wing media sphere whipping the base into frenzy after frenzy the 'true believers' are the ones in government now and the idea of compromise is done for.

There's two things that you can do here, the right way and easy way. The right way would be to rip the whole wire out and run it properly. The easier way would be to kill the outlet at the breaker, disconnect the wire from the outlet and to carefully remove the pipe and replace with a PVC pipe that won't rust. Get one from the electrical aisle because those won't degrade in the sun.
