I agree with the person you are replying to but not sure why you being downvoted, the meme is suggesting to smoke before stocking shelves.

Reality is most of these guys just pass the initial screen and then show up to work every single day after that stoned as hell.

Source: Worked overnights stocking shelves for a major supermarket for about 1 year.

The issue with moderation is how it requires a rational actor to, well, moderate use or a behavior. At some point during a persons "addiction" the ability to execute control over those behaviors lessens until it eventually breaks. The time table on this varries and for some they may be able to stick to whatever rules they set, however if you ask anyone whose been in this position they would tell you how often their thoughts / emotions were consumed by a phenomenon called craving.

Everything everyone said about each person being different is valid, but by and large, the best way to minimize negative impacts of whatever "addiction" we are talking about (process or substance) is to cease completely.

What if someone isn't a local and didn't realize the beginning of the exit lane started so far back? What? Just too bad you had your chance? Letting someone in takes two seconds.

Unpopular opinion: you can absolutely use Q tips if your ear canals are wider and you don't just jam it in.

What I do is start at the entrance and twist as I go in and again as it's coming out. My primary care has never found anything wrong with my ears.

Make a👌 and light the flame thru the circle. Works everytime.

Just a heads up I won't be offering any back and forth here, too busy.

But for anyone reading, CBT is not what is being described here. CBT / DBT are effective and should still be explored as viable options.

I used a slight appeal to authority to highlight the ridiculousness of the initial argument. I'm not typing out a million different nuances / hedging everything I say.

Multiple things can be true at same time. I can acknowledge that a sitting senator obviously has some idea of what is / is not effective in terms of when / when not to filibuster while not bowing to the institution itself. Sorry I didn't add three extra paragraphs about how despite being a US senator.... Yada yada yada.
