I had a tiny scratch on my 15 Pro Max Screen out of the box, I didn't even notice it until I turned on my desk light to install the glass screen protector. Apple exchanged it as soon as they got more stock, and actaully wound up getting the white color I wanted all along. Weird to see this type of QC though for a $1000+ phone from Apple.
