Portal 1 was flawless. Portal 2 had a crucial flaw.

Specifically, it was not Portal 1. Everything else was perfect.

This applies to any insular group of humans, not just conservatives. But that is a particularly amusing example, in a laugh-so-you-don't-cry sort of way.

Because "spied for," and "spied with" are both options.

"I spied them" is a legitimate sentence, but it doesn't mean covert surveillance in that sentence, only to have seen then, generally through some difficulty.

I understand, intellectually, that some people might love this.

To me, this is on the same level as offering to set my building materials on fire before I build my house. I can't imagine any way this could make things better.

Do you guys remember the episode of TNG where people kept vanishing, and only Dr. Crusher remembered them?

I think if they had done that in DS9, to O'Brien, he wouldn't even have noticed, and got caught up on his maintenance. Finally got everything fixed just in time for the universe to collapse in on him.
