I've clicked a few. Mostly by accident, the rest by deception.

Maybe. Trump isn't exactly motivated by trying to protect democracy.
A good question. It's kind of like when crime happens to criminals. Yes, they are entitled to the same protection as everyone else, but there's a side-eye there.
