I remember my wife looking for a web dev position in early 2015 and at one place they were adamant that 5 years of HTML5 in experience was mandatory.

Edit: I know the spec was a work in progress since 2008 but it's still kind of a ridiculous requirement. To put it in to perspective, my wife's class was the first year that they trained on Html5 instead of 4.
I read up on this the other day and their claims are 8 tons produced per gigawatt of energy consumed. Even if they manage a quarter. Of that, it's enough to obliterate the value of gold. I doubt this will actuary go anywhere either way but it would be nice to see.

Statistically speaking, that would split the American "left" vote while not affecting the number of republican voters at all. At best it would give the republicans at least a minority government in every election for a long time and nothing will change. As impossible as it seems, the best course of action would be to try to effect change in the democratic party instead of trying to run against them. It really a shitty scenario with no real winning solution at present.
