We only need guns in a dysfunctional society. Whatever you believe about the right to bear arms, the fact is that gun violence is rampant, and needs to be addressed. Everything else is a distraction.
And I agree with your statement on migrants, but it is a really difficult issue due to how hard it is to filter who should and who should not be welcome, without succumbing to blatant racism. After all the USA was built on migrants, and we still need them. Ultimately I think private businesses need to be regulated more harshly on how they pay all workers, including migrants and natives, to close the pay inequality. This would be beneficial not only to the migrants but also to our economy as a whole in providing better opportunities for all.
And there are many people out there whose behavior can be described as: judging others' character based on superficial qualities such as gender presentation or race.
And my judgement of that behavior is that those people should be shamed and educated.
Independent repair/handyman business pays google to place ads in their results when you search for relevant terms. In the past this was done through flyers & newspapers & billboards and such. If the business made absolutely no effort to advertise their service, then you would never be able to find them when you're looking for that service, except for through word of mouth (which is arguably a form of advertising in itself.)
Don't get me wrong, I hate ads too, and they've become far too prevalent in popular media. But they exist for a reason.
Edit: we also should have the right to block and deny ads as we wish. And at the same time, advertisers should have the right to exist. Google's recent DRM and crackdown on adblockers should be met with forceful government intervention, in an ideal world, due to their debatable monopoly over their sector.
Lmao that's an intentional misunderstanding. They are obviously referring to land which has been claimed by a private entity just for the sake of 'land value' because this leads to hoarding and unnecessary scarcity. If one develops a farm on that land, then they should be entitled to a significant share of the profits reflective of their investment of time and resources, but those who dedicate labor to working that land should also be entitled to an ownership share.
The premise is that land should not be snatched up and 'owned' in its entirety, especially for prospective reasons, when the 'owner' is not providing any value through their 'ownership'. This is just greed institutionalized.
In reality, all land belongs to the earth and we are just a bunch of monkeys fighting eachother over fictional rights to that land in the pursuit of power and influence over other monkeys.
The word burger has been separated from its origins in Hamburg. In modern use, a hamburger is a beef patty, and a burger is any meat patty. Deal wit it
This is short-sighted. We need to entirely divert away from using cars as our primary mode of transportation.
I think the editor was drunk too. Plz just give raw footage with simple cuts for brevity...
Because they fail to provide reliable data or a better alternative
You didn't read the article, she gives them away to friends but has no way of storing them and is in a battle with UPS to stop unjust delivery charges.
Also some people have ethics about littering or contributing to needless waste.
