The RAT finally arrived, and the results are in. I am officially out of the never-had-covid club.
I could send a dozen of mine. May come with a side order of Plague.
There has been a lot of stuff going around at work, so it could be anything. If I get another covid negative I can at least absolve my brother in law from blame (he had covid at christmas, right at the very edge of transmission timeframe but still possible). It would also mean I could stay in the never-had-covid club.
Dr Google told me as I was no longer feverish light exercise should be ok and may even help improve breathing. So I took Mr Woof to the end of the block and back. That was not a great idea, I'm now exhausted.
I have ordered some RATs that cover covid and flu that should arrive today. Hopefully I will then have something to officially blame. Unspecified plague is just unsatisfying. I did do a covid RAT on Sunday which was negative, but I think it is time for a second opinion.
Put a handfull of raw rice inside and a little bit of vinegar, then shake the bottle. The rice works to scrub the bottle clean. You sometimes have to rinse out a few times to get all the rice grains back out, but it works really well.
I thought the night flu tabs would help me sleep, but they didn't. I'd really like to sleep but can't get comfortable โน๏ธ
I have made good progress today. I acquired good drugs, managed to spend all day sitting up and even managed a proper breakfast and lunch. Dinner was an iced bun from the freezer, but two outa three ain't bad. I even managed a shower and brushing my teeth. Tomorrow I might even feel well enough to floss!
Mr Woof is definitely hoping the progress continues, he has a physical therapy program worked out involving many walkies that he wants me starting ASAP
Something with lots of car crashes to make you appreciate the value of your insurance more?
Yep. The other one I always loved was being expected to get a medical certificate for sick leave. When you are actually sick that can be extremely difficult and often counterproductive. Fortunately I only need a stat dec these days, but I do have a written warning on file for taking sick leave without a certificate before. Because obviously if I'm too sick to work I'm perfectly capable of getting myself to the doctor's to the doctors to fill out some paperwork.
I thought that was the case too, but there must be some sort of loophole because I have pseudoephedrine.
I was surprised to be able to get it, and also relieved because going to the chemist in person is both beyond my current capabilities and also not great for the community given I probably have Flu and it would be better not to spread it around.
Most go into breakfasts, unless I go on a custard binge. They are very fresh and last for a long time.
It's been a bit surprising, especially as I have worked the whole way through in an office with many people. I don't know if this is work's fault or my brother in law though - he was sick with covid at Christmas, ,which puts it right at the extreme long end of the possible incubation timeframes.
