There are more foxes in urban areas than rural. There was one on top of my shed last night in fact. I do not however want a bottle of wolf urine to deal with it ๐คฃ
It's an urgent repair that should have been done ASAP. The fact that it's not done, plus the fact the agent is not even on top of what type of heating and cooling are in the property, is a major red flag.
Bugger. House is a no, I've withdrawn my application. The current tenant was there and very informative. Cooling is broken and the landlord has been refusing to fix it, heating is a bit dodgy too. Looks like they bought it 7 years ago and failed to do even the bare minimum maintenance since then.
So back to square 1 โน๏ธ
That sounds horribly unpleasant, I'm glad the cola solution worked.
That urgent care clinic was the one I went to for my finger impalement. The last time I was in Bayswater that entire building didn't exist, it was all quite a surprise.
I'm going to need a lot more potting mix to pack up all the plants I want to take with me. The iris at least can be divided and stored over winter without soil, but most of the other things will need to be potted up.
I'm hoping the landlord will let me plant a bunch of stuff in ground so I won't need to buy bigger pots etc. for the future. It's a pretty ratty garden at the moment, so I can't see why they'd say no. Plus they can't "unreasonably refuse" permission to have a vegetable garden, and most of my stuff is edible.
I planted up a pot with some flowering bulbs this morning, I should also be able to take nasturtiums, kangaroo paw, borage, comfrey, artichoke, canna edulis (arrowroot), midjin berries, raspberrries, strawberries, lemon, lime, mandarin, apple, pear, thyme, rosemary, mint and maybe a bay tree. I'm sure I'll find a few others as well.
I picked up a roll of pretty wallpaper from hard rubbish.
No idea what I'll do with it. Maybe line some drawers or something.
I don't think it has any effect on the ads. But hiding the "suggested" posts seems to work for a short while.
I really wish more people would embrace moving away from Facebook though, I'm primarily there because of some of the groups, and until there are enough people willing to participate in the same type of groups eelsewhere I'm stuck with either using Faceboook or giving up on the groups.
I decided to put the winter doona on the bed, even if the nights are still being a bit warm. It meant I finally got to use the fancy patterned sheets as a top sheet. I'm trialling using the doona between two sheets instead of putting it into a cover. I cut open the covers so I can use the patterned piece as a top sheet, and the patterned sheets I got from the Buy Nothing group are underneath and folded over to show at the top. Mr Woof thinks it's ok, although he has a propensity to throw all the pillows onto the floor during the day so probably does not have the best credentials as a stylist.

I think today will be a good day to do some stress gardening. Until I have the new lease actually signed (and confirmation of my specific work hours and moving date, rather than just "June will be fine") I am going to be a little bundle of anxiety. I don't do well with uncertainty at the best of times, and these are big uncertainties. Ripping out some dead tomato plants etc. seems just the anti-anxiety activity I need.
I click "see less of" and "hide this post" on everything that Facebook suggests. My feed is now mostly just the subscribed groups (plus the ads, you can't get rid of those).
If you want to completely decontaminate your phone you'll need to get rid of Facebook entirely.
Ooh, I love popping candy chocolate, I'm jealous. Mr Woof chased the Easter bunny away so I didn't get any eggs.
Yeah, some of it is not good. I did go to another place this afternoon which was really great. But it also had about 30 people at the inspection, and I heard one women asking if she can still make an offer of higher rent. So I don't think I have any chance at that one, but at least it was not a depressing hellhole.
I have another inspection lined up for Saturday, and a few for Tuesday. Trying to keep track of them all, plus whether I have inspecte/applied for etc. is becoming a challenge.
Oh well, worst case scenario I end up living in the van, which is really quite roomy...
