Removalist is booked. I got the quote online and just spoke to them on the phone for the first time. Lady I spoke to seemed very nice which is I think a good sign.

I find it amazing how much cake decorating has changed from when I was young. When I grew up rolled icing on fruit cake, decorated with delicate piped flowers and lacework, was the norm for things like wedding cakes. It was a process that would take weeks or months to do, painstaking intricate work. Fresh cakes with the buttercream frosting were for children's parties and novelties. It all changed very quickly when the fashion changed to using the wedding cake as dessert instead of something to keep, and the old style fruit cakes disappeared very quickly.

My younger cake-decorating self would have loved it - I had a bottle top stuck onto a nail.

Looks like a piping nail - you use a piping bag to make a flower or something on it, then can transfer it once set to the cake. You hold the nail bit so you can turn it as you pipe.

Gold bricks would be good. If it's 18 thousand dehydrated spinach packets I may not be able to fit in the door, but I could possibly resell for a profit. Trying to get it to the post office for a return would be difficult.

Cat tree is on board for delivery. Let's hope this time it's not a couch.

Just ask. I've had a few extensions and they didn't require any proof at all.

I've managed to sort out the microchip records for Mr Woof and Miss Meow - I somehow had two seperate accounts and could only access one. They have now been merged and I can access both records. It didn't help that I had lost the number for Mr Woof's chip and it's taken me ages to find it.

I discovered that Mr Woof was still listed under his prison ID, "Scampy", a name that he hasn't used since he was a puppy incarcerated at the Lost Dogs Home. It's been fixed now, and I have the numbers securely recorded so I'll be able to register them with the new council.

Carrot cake at work today. I may have accidentally eaten three slices.

What a shock. Those people are normally so reliable.
