I love how Temu tries to trick you into taking a credit on your account instead of getting a refund to your card. They tell you it will take days to repay to the card, but it actually goes through instantly. Plus they put in an extra pop up to try to get you to change it without realising that clicking on "get refund instantly" means getting an account credit instead of an actual refund.

Oh well, I know their tricks and have the refund in my account and gave a bad review to the dodgy embroidery kit I was sent. I was actually a bit surprised that only one of them was actually dodgy, and because I didn't have to return the kit I'll be able to use the cotton on the stitch book I got that didn't come with any, so that works out ok.

I have considered making some absorbent cotton slippers to wear after mopping the floor, so I can walk all over the wet floor and call it drying the floor.

I'll Fourth it. I really enjoyed it (although I've only seen the first two seasons, as I only use streaming services occassionally)

You can just cancel it now, you'll still get your 30 days free but won't have to worry about forgetting and having it auto renew. Just ignore all the warnings about what you miss by not having a subscription, they just put them there to make people reconsider cancelling. You are just cancelling the auto-renew of the subscription not the membership itself.

I don't even remember any violence at the start of American Gods. I just remember absolute boredom. I didn't even finish the first episode the first time I watched it, and then slogged through a few episodes after being assured it would get really good and be worthwhile. Spoiler: it wasn't. I didn't enjoy any of it in the slightest.

I think Sneaky Pete is on Amazon, I was ambivilent about whether I wanted to watch it at all and ended up really enjoying it.

I've been so successful in weatherstripping around the sliding door the dog door panel is inserted into that now the air pressure is blowing the dog flap open and letting in even more cold air than was coming through the gaps.

Some of the groups do go a bit overboard with banning people, and some seem to have quite biased moderators. I can understand some of the removal of posts and comments being a bit heavy handed at time, just because of the difficulty of moderating a large group and the impossibility of stepping on some toes, but going to banning people as a first step is not a good option. Especially if it is people that have contributed to the group in the past, not just a random coming in looking to cause trouble.

I guess it's the double edges sword of social media though, allowing everyone to contribute tends to lead to trolls and bad actors flooding the group and turning it into shit, but it's also very easy to destroy a group with excessive moderation destroying the ability to have a free discussion.

But that's my go-to whenever anyone argues that veganism is the most sustainable diet. An argument that has also caused me problems on Reddit when I added that for greatest sustainability impact we should start with eating the rich. They got a bit funny about that one.

I may have gone a touch overboard when ordering embroidry kits from Temu. I think I now have a lifetime supply, plus a bit extra.

The kits are mostly pretty good quality (except for one dodgy one I asked for a refund on) but a few of them will be a bit challenging as they are quite complicated. I'm chalking them up as a work expense as they are to help keep me awake on quiet night shifts. Unfortunately the ATO is unlikely to agree with that assessment, so I can't claim a refund on them.

I also bought a few more decals, hopefully Miss Meow will like her litter trays being in a small jungle. In any case having a plastic coating on the wall should help protect it from her over-enthusiastic litter digging practices.

I'm thinking tonight might be a risotto night.

I'll swap you my bean festival tickets for your musical tickets and we'll both be happy!
