Hey, too soon! Please do not subject me to premature incapacitation 🀣

I've been successfully procrastinating by doing a further review of my income & life insurance. I think I've got a mix of three different policies that will cover my future needs pretty well. There is a bit of an overlap in the middle where I'm probably a touch over insured, so just putting it out there for the universe that if you plan to strike me down with a permanent work-ending disability at some point, four or five years from now would be the best time to schedule that.

My mulch is nearly here, so the universe decided it was a good idea to have a shower of rain followed by some nice sunshine to bring the humidity up as high as possible.

I just walked out to the bin and almost died.

My mulch delivery is on it's way, just carting a few of those bales to the back yard it likely to kill me.

I just took Mr Woof out for a walk in the rain. Now it's cleared away and the sun is out, my timing is definitely not good today.

Todays to do list:

  • Coffee
  • Mix dog food
  • As much planting in the back yard as rain allows
  • start on assignment / do anything I can to avoid starting the assignment. May involve making fritters or sauerkraut.

You probably chose the "do not claim the tax free threshold" option on the intitial paperwork. I did that when I first started working - I didn't know what it was, so figured I shouldn't claim it. It did lead to some lovely tax returns until I told payroll to change it, but these days with high interest in bank accounts available it is not such a good strategy.

I use automatic payments to divide my pay up into a bunch of different accounts, so the money that I have available to spend is separate from the money put aside for bills or savings goals. Having everything divided up into smaller amounts earmarked for specific spending makes me much less likely to spend it on something less important than having it all in one place.

How rude of your generation to turn casual bland acknowledgment into an insult!

Maybe we need some sort of generation indicator emoji to assist in interpreting messages. Plus a phrase book for all the things that have been twisted in meaning.

Can't believe the kids made OK not OK. Wait, has anyone told the RUOK day people?!
