If there is one thing I have learned from lemmy so far, is there are a lot of weirdos on here with an axe to grind. world and ml get regularly DDOSed, there was the time when world got hacked and got a ton of horrible stuff posted to it, and there was that one user who claimed a lot of communities and sat on them, only to vow revenge when they got banned.

Any other kbin users getting an error message trying to block it? I'm on my lemmy account cause there is no way can find to silence it from kbin.

Meant it to be more of an all out brawl of the different groups, but realized it looks like people are cheering on the libertarian after it was too late. Oh well, at the very least I think it also shows Lemmy's general disdain for tankies.

Perfectly acceptable for beginners to write in kana. Many of my students here primarily write in kana until up to 6th grade.

Make a joke about the British, they're like "Yeah we do drink a lot of tea did a lot of imperialism, and our food sucks"
Make a joke about the French, and they're like "ho ho, we are rude and love wine non?"
Make a joke about the Italians, and they're like "Ay, we do love a pizza, and can't fight a war!"
Make a joke about Americans, and there's always the "WHY DO YOU GUYS MAKE FUN OF US! NO FAIR! WHY DO PEOPLE THINK ITS FUNNY TO HATE US?!?"
Basically it moves content up. Having a few boosts has the same power as a ton of upvotes. Works in comments too.
It's used as a way to move quality content and posts into people's views. I don't know if it affects visibility on Lemmy though.
That's surprising. Part of the reason I joined ca for my lemmy account was they seemed relatively chill compared to world and ml.
