I agree, I think it would be pretty foolish to assume there was nobody behind the memes but the people. Here we all are denouncing Swift when she was actually spreading a good message about getting out to vote.

People do shit like that but then they bought the brown coffee filters instead of the white ones so they're still saving the environment ๐Ÿ™„

You know it's possible to heat it up without boiling it.

But it still tastes worse after heating up. That's why dump hot chocolate mix in, like a real connoisseur!

From the link at the bottom of that page:

User comments are visible only to designated government staff and to the user who posted the comment. A summary of website responses will be analyzed, summarized, and forwarded to government decision makers for consideration.

So nobody can see anyone else's comment, so there is no actual discussion. Then they'll "summarize" the responses ... Which means what, exactly? Who gets to decide what makes the cut and what doesn't? What are the criteria for getting your comment seen by the "decision makers"?

Furthermore you can't comment at all unless you have a BCeID, but if you already have the wrong kind of BCeID then you need to sign up for a second account!

It looks like they're trying to limit the responses they get, and there doesn't seem to be any guarantee that the actual public opinion will even be presented to the "decision makers".

This is a really popular take, but I think quite the opposite has happened actually: most people in media are a normal healthy weight, but they've been demonized as having "impossible" bodies, and I think a major driver of that is people who don't want to admit that their body is unhealthy. If you claim that a BMI of 22 is "ridiculously unhealthy" then you dont have to put any work in to lose weight; after all it's the standard that's wrong!

As far as the Greek statue thing goes, people just need to understand that they are on steroids. You can look like that too, if you want to juice.

Few things are as pathetic as preemptively whining about down votes.

Depending on the drink you've probably got a twofold addiction to sugar and also caffeine.

I don't get any kind of withdrawal symptoms from sugar, but if I don't have caffeine I start to get anxiety like that.

No, they'll spend all their money on end of life care. Nursing and retirement homes have skyrocketed in price just like everything else. Their money is going back up the chain to the billionaires, not to our inheritance.

Not to mention many of these are literally still brand names and have not in fact been ruled generic.

Oh I see now they've made the generic ones dark grey.

within a week, but he'd give an estimate of a month.

Smart guy. Under-promise over-deliver is a really easy way to impress people.

There is, it's literally right there on the home page of the project. You can either copy a URL and download it by cloning the git repo, or you can download the whole project as a zip file. Then you just have to compile it!

GitHub is for developers, not end users.
