Hey I was trying to reply to you yesterday about looking into lemmy.hjson, but the send button wasn't working for some reason in jerboa. Is all working now?

Imagine a computer is like a building that can provide goods and services such as coffee shop, travel agency, bookshop, movie rental, etc. and has a street address, that would be the network address. That address would take you to the building door, but you still need to know on what floor is the service you're looking for. That would be the port number.

Personally not too happy about a gesture taking me out of comments on the last version.

A few days ago there was talk about the Asus Zenfone 10, maybe it's worth taking a look at.

I'm not sure I got it right, but if you're not subscribed to a community you shouldn't see its posts once you're browsing with the "subscribed" option. If you want to browse using the "all" option and hide certain communities, then yes I think it would be a nice option to have.

First time I hear of tildes, what's different about it? Is it part of the federation?

Why not? That's quite a remarkable piece of shit.

Can't believe lemmy already has volume enough for this level of shitposting 🥲

New to this, but I think unless there's some blocking done it is indeed possible to post and comment on communities of different instances.

And that's the beauty of this federation thing.
